It only makes sense when the whale sharks show up that the Mer people would also. This was captured Northeast of Isla Mujeres MX last year. One of the more difficult captures I have taken. Not because the image is difficult to take but I was sea sick. Like so sea sick I give the camera to Handler because I thought I was going to pass out. Rule one, Always save the camera. And to make things worse I had gotten a killer head cold on the trip down to the island. Luck did turn my way however there just happened to be a Mermaid convention on the island that week.
Maternity sessions are a personal moment in a mother life. I respect the fact that most of my clients do not want there images plastered all over the internet for advertising my photography. However, once in a blue moon I get the okay to use an image like this. Underwater Maternity photos are a tad bit tricky like most captures in the water. Underwater maternity photos take a significant amount of time for preparation of the mother to pose in the optimal positions. Like most underwater modeling, getting and staying in position is a challenge. By adding a 18 foot long underwater drape adds to the dimension of the images but usually requires a few extra helping hand for the underwater maternity photograph . These photographs of the pregnant mother are unique and will be cherished for a lifetime.
